Meet Our Dedicated Team

Portrait of Physician Assistant Jennifer Pedersen at InterveneMD

Jennifer Pedersen, PA-C

A proud Michigander, Jennifer moved to South Carolina in pursuit of warmer weather and a career in medicine. After attending PA school in Greenville, SC, Jen joined the team at InterveneMD as our favorite physician assistant. She is known for her ability to make patients laugh and feel at ease. When she’s not seeing patients, Jen loves spending quality time with friends and family, traveling, cooking and being on the water. She lives in Charleston with her golden retriever, Daisy.

Portrait of Rheumatology Specialist Freya at InterveneMD

Freya

Freya was born and raised in Colorado Springs, but has been living in Charleston for the last 30 years. Most of that time she has been working in the pain management field, starting in rheumatology and then gravitating to interveneMD in 2004. Coming from a family where chronic pain was a big player, she has intricate personal and professional knowledge of the pain problem, and a healthy respect for it. She is a firm believer that humor is the salve we often need and she is always happy to make bad jokes to that end. In her free time, she enjoys family, yoga, art, and her feisty little ball of fur.

I am a former professional ballet dancer with Columbia City Ballet. I love dogs, working out, watching “The Office”, making people laugh, and being around family and friends.

Portrait of X-ray Technologist Linda Hammill at InterveneMD

Linda Hammill

Hi, I am Linda Hammill and have enjoyed working with Dr. Joye for almost 3 years.
For the past 40 years, I have been an X-ray technologist (I know that’s a long time) with a strong background in orthopedics and pain management. Helping patients to feel better and comfortable during procedures is why I still enjoy being in healthcare. I am a native Charlestonian and my favorite pastimes are exercising, reading, cooking and enjoying the beauty of nature.

I am a nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician and Certified Sterile Compounding Technician. I enjoy serving our patients and taking care of their needs by trying to remember that we can all do small things with great love. My greatest delight is my two grandchildren. I love animals especially my three crazy dogs. I also enjoy almost anything outside such as going to the beach, horseback riding, and gardening.

I’m originally from Massachusetts but moved to Myrtle Beach with my family in 2011 and recently made the move to Charleston with my boyfriend and our dog, Diesel. In my freetime I love to read, dance, hang out with friends, take pride in my binge watching addiction of “Grey’s Anatomy” and go hike in the mountains in Asheville.
